MPS Labels and Inserts FacilityThe opportunity:
Seeking a Commercial Category Manager to manage the commercial structure and practices within MPS Labels and Inserts Healthcare Cartons.
The role focuses on delivering a high level of commercial accuracy and awareness at site level, implementing margin improvement initiatives to increase opportunity for margin recovery, cost reduction and profit improvement.
The role will lead/oversee bid and new business introductions and coordinate commercially sensitive customer bids or projects.
Part of this will include establishing and managing a consistent structure for customer information recording and training.
Promote the product capabilities leading to increased focus on added value sales growth and product development.

Responsibilities:
Business Excellence COMMERCIAL STRATEGYProposes and develops plans for margin improvement initiatives by product type within the component range.
Define commercial recover targets on price and margin in conjunction with sites.
Leads implementation of commercial audits and regular reviews for maximum benefit.
Define charging approach per site/customer - implementing a regular review process for changing circumstances.
Ensure common and consistent approach is adopted in all sites for the category.
PRICINGDevelops consistent pricing approach for existing customers and bids.
Provides input into a strategic direction for standardization and technical development that satisfies both our customer and operational requirements.
Establish and maintain up-to-date, comprehensive price lists, including CS team training where appropriate on interpretation and application.
Manages the bid process liaising with sales and estimating department to generate most competitive cost solution through consultation with site management, and SVP if necessary.
Participates in the development of a cost model by component.
Interface with data analyst to ensure programs are effective.
People and Culture Develops commercial training program for appropriate skills training within the component structure.
Participates and controls technical developments across the component sites to maximize added value opportunities.
Ensures cost and price consistency is aligned to any technical development.
Trains Customer Service where appropriate on interpretation and application of price lists.
Interfaces with commercial analyst and Bid Coordinators to ensure bids are effective.
Interfaces directly with estimating so that estimates are accurate and effective and represent the cost structures of the plants and material.
Periodically interface with category manager in the other division to remain in sync and aligned in all aspects.
Build relationships and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers) to generate buy-in and establish alignment on Pricing strategies.
Partner with legal teams, contract teams, and customers to finalize contracts and ensure that the pricing and negotiated terms are managed to and observed.
