Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Manage a team of analysts and direct the process for producing the PSEG Long Island monthly scorecard reports of 60 key operational and financial performance metrics to PSEG Long Island, PSEG Executive Officer Group, Long Island Public Authority and the Department of Public Service (NY State Regulator).¬  Foster efficient cooperation across each line of business and present results and conclusions to senior management including benchmarking, target setting and gap analysis. Provide contract management and oversee the day-to-day relationship with the LIPA Contact Oversight management team as well as the Department of Public Service, including supervision of the year end metric validation process for PSEG Long Island's incentive compensation payout per the Operating Service Agreement.¬  Manage Tableau deployment of scorecard reporting through Tableau guided analytics and other metric reporting across PSEG LI and with PSEG LI Leadership.



  • Directs the PSEG LI process for Benchmarking, Scorecard, and other performance related initiatives for the PSEG LI Operating Services Agreement, Electric Operations, Customer Operations and Business Shared Services to ensure the following:

    • Each Line of Business has relevant peers for comparison and that the benchmarking panel has substantive processes for capturing and reporting relevant data and that the data has impeccable integrity and can be deciphered to provide insights to performance results,

    • Each Line of Business is benchmarked appropriately to ensure that measurement of the operations activities will provide a clear signal to Senior Management and enable them to set meaningful and relevant targets, including defining the parameters for what could be reasonable stretch targets,

    • Each Line of Business has selected the most appropriate scorecard metrics for reporting meaningful and relevant indicators of operational and financial excellence,

    • Each Line of Business have scorecard reporting platforms and tools to capture and report actual performance against the scorecard targets,

    • Each Line of Business have produced accurate analysis of results and created actionable and appropriate recovery plans to improve actual performance so that it will achieve management expectations,

    • Each Line of Business can interface with its peers around critical measures to share best practices and incorporate actions to improve performance in those specific measures,

    • PSEG LI is represented at corporate-level in meetings with Corporate Strategy on the metrics from PSEG LI that will be included in the PSEG Corporate Scorecard,

    • Each Line of Business Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts are aligned with the processes where critical measures are not performing to expected results.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with external and internal clients/customers, determining client needs and creating a work plan to meet the client's expectations.

  • Acts as a liaison between PSEG LI and LIPA/the Department of Public Service senior leadership providing monthly detailed reports and analysis to support OSA metric results.¬  Follows up as necessary with answering questions and facilitating meetings with SMEs from the business.¬  Fully supports multiple OSA metric audits conducted by LIPA and the DPS on an annual basis.

  • Responsible for LIPA Board of Trustees and PSEG Long Island Board monthly reporting including financials and OSA scorecard results, gaining approval from VPs and President.

  • Responsible for the calculation of the final OSA incentive compensation and oversees the year end evaluation of metric results by LIPA and the DPS including detailed reporting, audits and meetings to verify previous year's results.

  • Must be available during severe storms for a leadership position within PSEG Long Island's storm management process.

Knowledge and Experience Required:



  • BA/BS Degree preferably ¬ in engineering, finance, accounting, economics or business.

  • Demonstrated financial/industry experience.

  • 7+ years' experience in a detailed business analytical position, clearly demonstrating the ability to analyze complex business problems and driving the analytics to reach a conclusion.

  • Detailed understanding of the Amended and Restated Operating Service Agreement, particularly the appendices that apply to the Performance Metrics and termination provisions.

  • Strong working knowledge and thorough understanding of Tableau data visualization software.

  • Experience with software packages appropriate for the department: Excel, PowerPoint, Access

  • Results oriented and detailed oriented, analytical; possess strong problem solving and decision-making ability and have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate with executives (directors, VPs and the President) on a regular basis

  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, both external and internal.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:



  • MBA or Master's Degree in finance or engineering, finance, accounting, economics or business

  • Preferred expertise in other quantitative and qualitative software packages (i.e: SAP, Business Warehouse, Crystal Reports, SAS).

  • Consulting experience helpful, though not required.

  • Energy industry experience with more than 2 years' experience with PSEG Long Island Operating Services Agreement

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
