Requirements
Ability to create sets of working drawings, shop drawings and mark-ups for small projects using 2D drafting program such as AutoCad or VectorWorks. Knowledge of 3D rendering such as Rhino a big plus. Capable of reading project plans and specifications, and do take offs for estimating. Must have hands-on experience and a general understanding of the construction industry and/or metal and glass fabrication. Must have knowledge of how things get built in order to creatively problem-solve technical challenges. Strong organizational skills, follow-through & capacity to multi-task as numerous projects move through various phases of construction. Must be detail-oriented and committed to achieving high-quality results. Creative thinker, multi-talented individual who can take the initiative to be self-directed and complete tasks on ones own, while also being able to take direction and assist lead Project Manager when necessary. Ability to do independent research and analysis on materials, vendors, construction methods and costs, and present findings with recommendations. Facility with Photoshop and other image programs for presentation images, proposals and web portfolio a plus. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
