This is our direct-client opening for a SharePoint Administrator/Developer located in Hicksville, NY. This is for an 8+ month contract. The hourly rate depends on experience (DOE).
Job Description
Build use and manage sites in a SharePoint 2013 environment as an enabling technology for work groups and teams.
Primary responsibilities are to administer a SharePoint site, provide graphics support, and provide integrated master schedule support when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Develop and maintain beta systems to test programs and functions prior to production deployment.
Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
Administer, configure and customize SharePoint sites.
Create list and libraries in Sharepoint system.
Collect information from multiple sources from across the organization,
Troubleshoot SharePoint related issues, provide user training and support, and have experience using SharePoint 2013.
Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.

Knowledge Needed
Ability to develop and maintain SharePoint website site pages.
Excellent .Net Technology (ASP.net, C#.net), and ASP.net on web page development.
Good MS-SQL server applications and administration.
Experience in client-server applications development (C#).
Good performance testing skills.
Good mathematical thinking and analytical mind set.
Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets, word processing documents and manipulate power point presentations.
Great command of using email and communicating effectively and professionally through email.
Self-motivated and a Team Player.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
