Business Development Manager

Produces sales and profits for the company by marketing specialized services. Locates and develops new business; calls on customers and makes sales presentations; generates proposals and quotations; builds business partnerships/relationships; follows through on sales orders.
Responsibilities and Duties
Generates sales and profits for the Company using professional selling methodology. Maintains working knowledge of compensation strategies and market penetration.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from networking, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on prospective customers to solicit business. Calls on prospects; makes sales presentations and explains company services; assess client needs for staffing options (i.e., temp, perm, EMS).
Gathers requirements from prospects and customers, interacts with other company departments to finalize proposal details, and presents proposals to prospective customer. Negotiates fees, closes sales orders and obtains signed contract with Senior Regional Executive pricing approval.
Builds business partnership by maintenance of client with regards to staffing needs. Makes follow up visits to client to ensure satisfaction with company services and maintains on-going client relationships with existing customers. Reviews accounts periodically to ensure profitability, adjusts fees and pricing structures as required with Senior Regional Executive approval. Schedules and conducts periodic service audits to ascertain levels of client service.
Updates sales activity weekly in Salesforce.com. Provides weekly report to Senior Regional Executive.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 years sales experience, preferably in the sales of intangibles, or equivalent education and experience.
Effective business communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi task.
Computer literate (sales related software, contact management)
Incumbent must possess a valid driver license and carry insurance at Company-specified levels.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
