Job SummaryJob Responsibilities Individual must have a deep understanding of the Utility business and specifically how PSEG LI generates revenue.
Must have strong command of Regulatory environment and compliance requirements of the utility business.
Responsible for maintaining LIPA s estimated 1.1 million electric revenue meters and associated support systems.
Responsible for establishing company-wide electric metering practices for the accurate determination of monthly revenue in a safe and equitable manner. Responsible for the development of internal operation guidelines and procedures.
Direct all activities associated with meter, transformer and auxiliary equipment procurement, inventory, distribution, testing and processing of new and recycled meters and instrument transformers.
Responsible for the evaluation and approval of meter mounting equipment. Maintain listing of approved devices and post on the internet and intranet.
Provide direction in the support of back office systems including, the asset management system, MV-RS, AMI, MDM.
Responsible for evaluating, testing, creating, distributing and maintaining the meter programs in support of LIPA s tariff requirements.
Responsible for establishing policies and procedures for the Metering organization
Provide training and safety awareness to all Meter Services personnel
Responsible for completing all projects on time and on budget.
Contribute to opportunity recognition, problem solving, root cause, gap analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate communication of system changes, best practices, and future plans.
Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG-LI Standards for Business Controls and meet management s expectations for effective internal business controls. Job Specific QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering and eight (8) years work experience as an Engineer, preferably in the area of electric metering.
Requires excellent analytical ability, strong judgment and ability to work independently and effectively with internal customers, management, staff and vendors to meet deadlines.
Knowledge in use and application of SQL tools, data models, data processing
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Must be results and team oriented

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
