Sr Corporate Security Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement the Bank's Security program in compliance with the provisions of the Bank Protection Act.
The Senior Security Specialist's responsibilities include all aspects of the Security Specialist position in addition to advise and support for other Corporate Security team members.
The Senior Security Specialist also supports initiatives and specialized projects as assigned by the Department Team Lead.
This position is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Receives, investigates, documents, any Incident reports filed through the Bank's reporting system; including follow up with effected employees, law enforcement if needed, and the effected business units including Human Resources and Legal.
Completion of Risk Assessments including on-site surveys, review of crime data specific to that site, internal incident data, adequacy of alarm and surveillance equipment; threat assessments, etc.
, to document any risk to the Bank and making recommendations for purchase and installation of appropriate security equipment to mitigate those risks.
Contributes knowledge and experience to specialized projects and issues facing the Bank.
Provides support and guidance on projects involving the development of potential solutions to complex problems involving security or risk issues facing the Bank.
Presents viable solutions to the department Team Lead for evaluation and approval.
Assists team members with an implementation plan for any solution identified/approved.
Ensures that a post implementation evaluation is completed to verify its effectiveness.
Assists department team members in the completion of specialized projects and other assignments as delegated by the department Team Lead.
Including sensitive employee investigations involving the use of covert systems to detect or verify unauthorized activity, coordinating investigation and evaluation of new technologies to support Corporate Security and other business units, etc.
Manages electronic security systems including card access, key control alarm, surveillance, turnstiles, etc.

Evaluates the effectiveness of these systems and makes recommendations for replacement or upgrades as necessary.
Daily oversight of contract guard force.
Implement and manage emergency safety plans at all facilities.
Conducts safety and security training for line staff and managers, First Aid/CPR/AED, HazMat response, and workplace violence training.
Duties also include response to bank robberies, bomb threats, severe weather and other emergencies that threaten life or property.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.
Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Required
Qualifications:
Education level required:
Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or Corporate Security preferred.
Five years' experience in a corporate security environment or law enforcement.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
First Aid/CPR/AED, Incident Command, Guard Force Management experience preferred.
Job Competencies:
Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices, policies and procedures.
Proficiency with security-based web or app systems (e.
g.
surveillance, incident reporting, card access, mass communication, etc.
) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to travel within the Bank's footprint.
Valid driver's license.
Physical demands (ADA):
The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.
