Special Inspector
We are looking for Special Inspectors for a leading & renowned Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Firm in New York.
Job Location - Hicksville, Brooklyn, Bronx NYIndustry :
Leading & renowned Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Firm based at Nassau/ Suffolk with branch in Manhattan.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements :
Perform construction observation and material testing services that meet or exceed industry standards.
Verify contractor compliance with the building codes and project approved documents, specifications and drawings.
Read drawings, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans Job Requirements A minimum of an Engineering background such as associates / bachelor's degree preferred.

yrs to 20
years' relevant experience.
MTA/MNR Track Training certificate is a must.
Certifications preferred or experience/ability to obtain (Any one or more):
Nuclear soil gauge certification.
ACI Field Concrete Grade I.
ICC or ACI certification in Reinforced Concrete.
ICC certifications in Soils, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel Welding or Bolting and/or Spray-On Fireproofing.
ICC certification as Commercial or Residential Building Inspector.
AWS certification in Structural Steel Welding.
EDI certification in EIFS.
NJDCA and/or Philadelphia L&I approved Special Inspector (SI) certification.
NECEPT / NJSAT asphalt field / plant certification.
Welding experience, AWS-CWI and/or ANST Level II in PT, MT and UT preferred for structural steel inspector positions but not required.
Valid Driver's License.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
