This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling complex cases with a team of experienced professionals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of litigation matters, focusing on insurance defense litigation, construction defect law, and professional liability claims.
The ideal candidate must also have experience with personal injury cases and be a member in good standing of the New York Bar.
Responsibilities1.
Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including but not limited to insurance defense, construction defect, and professional liability claims.
2.
Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
3.
Conduct thorough legal research to build strong defenses and develop litigation strategies.
4.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
5.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular case updates and excellent customer service.
6.
Collaborate with partners and other associates to ensure a seamless legal service delivery.
7.
Comply with all legal standards and regulations, maintaining the highest degree of professional and ethical conduct.
Qualifications 1.
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on insurance defense litigation, construction defect law, professional liability claims and personal injury cases.
4.
Admission to the New York Bar and in good standing.
5.
Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
6.
Strong research and report-writing abilities.
7.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
9.
High level of integrity and professional accountability.
