Summary:
The HIM Technician is able to analyze and retrieve accurate, complete, reliable and valid patient data as conveyed by clinical members of the medical, nursing, and ancillary staff.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program High School diploma or equivalent Experience And Skills Speaks, reads and writes English One year healthcare experience in acute care hospital or physician's office preferred Self-starter.
Data entry skills.
Problem solving skills Working knowledge of computer application Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred) Detailed oriented License/Certifications Working Conditions Other information:
Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Sitting for long periods of time Ability to bend, reach, and retrieve files.
Ability to lift 25lbs.
Ability to climb Working long periods with computer Heavy phone usage.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
