You will be responsible for reviewing suggested purchase orders in the computer and placing the purchase orders with vendors.
Running backorder reports and making sure items are ordered.
Daily, weekly cycle counts and annual inventory of over 2000 sku's.
Also involved in sourcing goods, managing vendors, planning & warehouse organization.
Responsibilities Place & receive purchase orders Manage warehouse organization/Put-away Manage any discrepancies with orders and delivers Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers Determine quantity and timing of deliveries Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies Contact vendors for quotes, lead times and shipping estimates Skills Proven working experience as purchasing manager, buyer, warehouse associate Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management Good with business ERP computer systems (AS400/iSeries a plus) Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures Solid judgement along with decision making skills Strong leadership capabilities Excellent organization skills Salary $50,000-$70,000 -commensurate with experience.
